If you start with the Brabus engine (bigger injectors, water intercooler, oil cooler etc and 101PS as standard) you can get 120PS. Still be better off starting off elsewhere if power is your thing - it's only 698cc remember!

Bike engine conversions are possible but rare because they don't fit under the standard engine bay.

Got this on the way back up to the car park, but it's not the most exciting video in the world. And it's not straight.
I bet that car is a right load of fun !! Love the sounds it makes thumbup

I bet you have just as much fun in that as other people do in their more expensive machinery !!

Thats still not bad considering that from the video it really did sound like you were giving it some.

Is there any modification to the car? as it sounds quite grumbly in the video, or is that just its normal sound?

Are you considering an upgrade from the Fiesta then? wink If I ever go on another of these trips you can have a go. Be prepared to have your leg pulled though, I nearly got a "Barbie - Ken" sunstrip for Le Mans...

The mpg comment was tongue-in-cheek. Mine usually does 40+mpg, many do 50+mpg, but I've had mine down into the 20's on track.

It's not modded bar a re-map and filter - they all sound like that! The camera is over the engine which makes it noisier, but they're not quiet cars inside.

yup, one of those would be a nice upgrade.

More realisticly would be a mitsu Colt 1.6 GLX.

Also rather glum that I couldn't make this meet.

Nice video, you've got me looking at my local Smart dealer, and pondering if I should book a test drive on the Brabus roadster they've got in at the moment. laugh

Or even the Proton Satria which is the same? (if you're talking about the older Colt?) Don't laugh, I've heard they're a quite good drive. You certainly see plenty competing in rallies.

See you there Russ. Made a start on the stickers tonight (only right, given the run we're doing) -

Still have PLENTY to put on at yours after the run!

Steve

Thats a good video But i call fake.

Theres no way thats Thom driving infront, it looks far to controlled.
Fair play to the lad - given the caliber of some of the motors he was out with, he did himself pretty proud to stay so close. [/quote

He didn't do too bad on the Oopnurthing too, with CW42, a Westy and mine.

Hey guys, its Thoom here!! IM BACK!!!!

This profile is not actually Craig's (lad in the fiesta) but as he's a real person it was a good 'under the radar' plan (but i was sussed in another thread).

Paulie if sider gets back to you about the oopburthring stickers can you order a second one for me as i tried to get in touch with him but never got a response.

Thanks in advance.

Thom

P.S I wasnt fishing for complements about my driving i just though if i insulted myself as a different person it would be more believeable.

Sad i know but anything to get back on the forums.
